Overview

UE Manufacturing is Now Hiring an Electric Frac Technician II located at 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. Performs maintenance, installations, repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems by applying electrical principles.  Responsible for identifying abnormalities with customer's power generation equipment, including the use of various measurement equipment in a shop environment and making complex repairs. Duties also include installation of control panels, termination of wiring to terminal blocks/relays, and cable pulling per the electrical schematic.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Any one position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification.

 

  • Repairing and replacing defective parts in controllers, switchboards, switches, conductors, and other electrical fixtures.
  • Accurately trouble shoot and diagnose all problems with power generation equipment with automatic transfer switches (ATS) and generator controls AC and DC. 
  • Utilize measuring equipment including multimeters, amp meters and megohmmeters for the diagnosis and repair of equipment. 
  • Perform all repairs on power generation equipment and related support equipment as a team and independently. 
  • Perform load testing via dry type load bank test equipment and perform building tests utilizing automatic transfers switches and related controls. 
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical components of machinery and equipment, including transformers, generators exciters, and hydraulic and pneumatic devices.
  • Performing preventive repair and maintenance of field electrical systems, devices, equipment, and components.
  • Testing solid-state circuitry to find defective parts in digital and analog equipment and replacing defective parts.
  • Designing and modifying motor power control equipment circuits, reading, and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Planning and laying work orders or work from instructions, using sketches, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  •  Five years’ experience in Electrical problem solving or combination of certifications and experience.   
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry working with low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment maintenance is required.
  • Proficient ability to calibrate, test, troubleshoot and install instrumentation and/or electrical equipment.
  • Must be willing to become certified in electrical certification courses provided to you. 
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures.
  • Must be capable of utilizing proper PPE.

  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.  Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.
  • Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).
  • Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers. 
  • Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.
  • Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
  • Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
  • Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.
  • Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.
  • Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground.
