This opportunity is well suited for an experienced mechanical design engineer who enjoys owning details, collaborating with shop teams and customers, and turning three-dimensional concepts into production-ready designs.

• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software.
• Support the design, development, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems from concept through completion.
• Apply customer requirements, company standards, engineering methods, and industry best practices to heavy equipment designs.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical system integration with customers, engineers, management, manufacturing, and other internal teams.
• Review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in accordance with company standards.
• Build project timelines, communicate progress, and prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, evaluate feedback, and use sound engineering judgment to implement design improvements.
• Partner with shop staff and other departments to resolve technical issues and keep work moving.
• Engage customers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to support timely project execution.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites, vendor locations, and other company facilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 2-4 years of experience designing industrial, heavy, or power generation equipment, including skid packages, trailers, machinery, or similar manufactured products, with 2-4 years of hands-on 3D mechanical design experience using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or comparable CAD software.
• Working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and the ability to develop accurate, quality-focused designs.
• Ability to solve technical problems, manage details, make progress with moderate supervision, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
• Commitment to safe work practices and company processes and procedures.
• Experience with SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
• Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools.
• Basic project management capabilities, including scheduling and task coordination.
• Experience with a manufacturing ERP system such as Oracle or SAP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to occasionally climb ladders and crawl underneath trailers
• Work in the office as well as the manufacturing shop floor
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Occasionally exposed to cold, heat, noise, mechanical/electrical fume, or odor.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
• Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
